The Ghostwriter

A modern ghost story about the characters we leave behind, and those that won't stay away.

Some characters refuse to be forgotten.

Edgar Johnson’s world is changing.

At home, the manuscripts of his rejected novels rustle and whisper that he’s a failure, while out in the park, a young woman seeks his help with a problem only he can solve. Too late, Edgar learns that no good deed goes unpunished—and that the price of failure might be his soul.

Meanwhile, Jacqueline Moran, errant daughter of a fading seventies superstar, checks herself into an exclusive mental health clinic, where her life will be changed forever.

And, between the two,  Richie Richards – a medium for the millennials, whose performances blur the line between illusion and the afterlife and challenge our understanding of reality.

As Edgar and Moran take their separate journeys to a collision with fate, they find their stories are bound together in a way neither could have imagined.

A darkly inventive tale of ghosts, redemption, and the challenges of characters who just won't die.

A note from the Author

This novel came to me from a simple idea, whether ghosts themselves. could be haunted. I decided 'yes' but was caught out by the implications.

As a new indie author, getting my stories into the hands of readers has proved to be at least as challenging as writing them.

I’m grateful to everyone who’s given it a chance. If you like your horror psychological, and balanced with positivity.
